Burnham Ranks High in Workplace Satisfaction
Burnham ranked 13th overall in The Scientist magazine’s 2008 survey of the best places to work in academia.
Burnham also ranked 2nd in job satisfaction.
Respondents assessed their working environments in categories such as quality of mentoring, infrastructure and environment, pay, research resources and tenure.

Approximately eight out of every 1,000 babies that are born each year have heart defects. Usually these defects are minor and can be managed with routine checkups as the child grows, or in more serious cases, with early surgery. But the initial cause of the defects is usually unknown.
